A group of small isles and littorals among the Venetian lagoon, the sea and the river Sile, is the territory on which there is the Union Lido resort; the zone is fond of tourism and here you can find the highest concentration of European campsites. The coastal area that faces the Adriatic sea is a long extended beach, sun-kissed from dawn to dusk.
The natural sand dunes together with a lush pine wood and a Mediterranean vegetation are an ideal place to spend an outdoor holiday at the seaside; the gentle sloping shoreline makes it a perfect beach for children.
Few miles off the coastline, and 15-40 metres under the surface, you can find the natural oasis Madonna delle Tegnùe that offers the possibility to all marine and scuba diving lovers to explore the underwater world and its life forms.
Behind the coastline, between a village and another, you can find those grounds where the renowned biological vegetables grow.
The central area shows a typical lagoon landscape, rich in flora and fauna, with canals, sandbanks and “ghebi”: a peaceful, relaxing, natural and uncontaminated environment.
Gastronomy
Not just the sun and the sea! The different cultures that make up the history of Venice have left their trace on the local cuisine. The delicious fish recipes remind us of the marine origin of the city, the spices tell of ancient times and the constant presence of vegetables shows the close bond that the city has with its territory.
Jesolo
A few miles off the resort there is Jesolo, the right place if you want to have fun. Here you will find many fashionable places, discos, shopping centres, aquaparks, an international aquarium (Sealife) and the longest commercial pedestrian precinct in Europe: 10 km full of shops and restaurants on both sides of the road.
